All coaches and athletes will be screened for signs/symptoms* of COVID-19 prior to sessions. Screening questions will include:
Fever (athletes and coaches to self-report temperature)
Cough
Sore throat
Headache
Shortness of breath
Fatigue
Loss of Taste of Smell
Close contact with someone with COVID-19
All coaches and student-athletes should check their temperature prior to arrival to the session and report it at screening.
Responses to screening questions for each person will be recorded and stored so that there is a record of everyone present in case a student develops COVID-19.
Any person reporting positive symptoms will not be allowed to take part in sessions and should contact a health-care professional.
Vulnerable individuals should not oversee or participate in any sessions.
Venue/Arrival/Departure
Participants, guardians, coaches and volunteers adhere to 6-foot physical distancing and wear face coverings.
Hand sanitizer will be available.
No congregating in parking lots or common areas before, during or after sessions.
Parents/guardians should drop off or remain in vehicles during sessions.
Any bleachers will be taped off.
All trash and belonging to be picked up after sessions.
Limitations on Gatherings
No more than 50 people to an outdoor playing area. This total includes coaches and volunteers.
Sessions should be broken into small groups or “cohorts” of no more than 10 (including coaches), the members of which remain together, without switching or mixing groups..

No spectators or nonessential personnel.

Physical Activity and Athletic Equipment
Coaches and athletes must wear face coverings at all times, except during active play.
Athletes should bring face coverings to all practices.
Coaches and players adhere to 6-foot physical distancing as much as is possible during practices, on sidelines and during drills.
Session duration will be not more than 1.5 hours. This will be re-evaluated as the state moves to subsequent phases of recovery.
Sessions will be practice-only, with no close defense, and minimal contact. This will be re-evaluated as the state moves to subsequent phases of recovery.
Boys should be in helmets and gloves only. (No pads, to discourage contact)
No high fives, handshakes or other physical contact.
All players use their own equipment, no sharing
Equipment on sidelines should be spaced to maintain 6-foot physical distancing during breaks.
An adult monitor, with face covering, may be assigned to assure that water bottles and equipment are not shared and physical distance is maintained
Time will be added between sessions to avoid overlap of arrival/departure and allow time for cleaning, handwashing etc.
Hydration, Food
Players must bring their own water and must not share water bottles.
No team water coolers
No shared food or beverages.
No spitting or eating seeds, gum, or other similar products.
Communication
Communication of expectations and protocols will be conveyed to all parties prior to sessions by some combination of email blasts, website and social media posts, signage, and virtual meetings.
A simple reporting method will be put in place for participants to inform the league of potential exposure of any participants, or of concerns over following protocol.
A single point of contact for Covid-19 related issue will be designated and clearly communicated to participants
Competition
The possibility of competition and inter-squad scrimmage will be re-evaluated as the state moves to subsequent phases of recovery.
Any proposed future travel will be carefully considered in light of current state and federal guidelines and specific conditions in the local area, as well as the proposed area of travel.
Medical Clearance
Require medical clearances from those that had previously tested positive for COVID-19.
For individuals who have experienced a known COVID-19 exposure in the past 14 days, home quarantine for 14 days is required. A medical clearance is required to return to practice.
Report the onset of any new symptoms immediately.
Conduct daily symptom assessments.* Players should contact their physician and follow the recommendations, if they have any symptoms.
Any player feeling unwell should not practice and immediately notify their coach/team manager.
Any player or player’s family member presenting symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, trouble breathing, etc.) should notify the coach/team manager immediately. All activities should be suspended until testing is complete.
Any player (or their family member) testing positive will require all team activities and practices to be canceled for 14 days.
Confirmed Cases
Immediately isolate and seek medical care for any individual who develops symptoms while at work and follow CDC guidelines.
Contact the local health district about suspected cases or exposures and employers should maintain the confidentiality of employee health information.
Shutdown any facility for deep cleaning and disinfection, if possible.
